Once your order is placed, your piece of jewellery is made within only 3 to 4 weeks, at our Parisian workshop.

How are our jewellery pieces personalised?

Once you have chosen your model, you have the option of changing the colour of the metal and choosing your stones.
The photo of the jewellery and its price are immediately updated, allowing you to make your choice according to your wishes as well as on your budget.
We will make your jewellery within just 3 to 4 weeks.

Where is our jewellery made?

Our jewellery is all made at a Parisian workshop that works for the biggest names in Place Vendôme.
All our pieces are the culmination of exceptional know-how, and we take particular care with them.

Why does the price of our jewellery vary?

We try to guarantee the fairest prices while respecting our Made-in-France quality requirements. This is why our prices are directly calculated according to the variations of the gold and precious stones markets.
For example, if the price of sapphires goes down, our the prices of our sapphire jewellery will go down as well. However, if the price of gold rises, our gold models will have higher prices depending on the change in the price of gold.
When your order is validated, the price of your jewellery no longer varies. On the other hand, if you have only put your item of jewellery in the basket, it may be that the price falls or increases. For any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

What is the quality of our stones?

We only provide stones that we would like to wear ourselves.
In the case of coloured stones, we select stones of excellent quality, well cut, well polished and a nice material. But there isn’t really a reliable certification, and with the spectrum of possible colours being infinite, we select the colours that we like and that suit us best.
Our suppliers are also meticulously selected.
Our diamonds are also selected individually. For our baguettes, because their faceting allows for no inclusions and whose brightness is more subtle, we require FVVS quality. Our cut diamonds are HSI quality.

Are our stones heated?

Whenever possible, we will always select natural stones.
Nevertheless, most colored stones have been heat-treated, which allows them, among other things, to intensify or reveal their colour.
However, we certify that we do not use stones treated with technologies such as laser, irradiation or diffusion.

Are our stones natural?

Yes.

Do our stones come from certified ethical mines?

We work exclusively with Kimberley Process Certification Scheme dealers who are committed to only cutting and reselling diamonds which do not come from conflict zones.
Our hard stones are cut in Europe.
It’s always very difficult to precisely define the origin of a coloured stone and the conditions under which it was extracted. Nevertheless, as far as possible, we regularly ensure that our stones are cut under optimal conditions, both human as well as environmental.

What is the quality of the gold we use?

We use 18-carat gold (750/000). Our pieces are cast in Paris.

Can I have a different custom piece made?

Payment

What are the available payment options?

You can pay by credit card or bank transfer.
Accepted credit cards are: CB, MasterCard®, Visa®, American Express®.
For security reasons, Hint Joaillerie does not accept payment in cash or by money order.
Payments made on the site are debited in euros.
Hint Joaillerie will charge your credit card for the full amount at the time of the order.

Is the website www.hintjoaillerie.com secure?

The transmission of information on our site is made in a secure environment, using the protocols in force on the internet. Credit card numbers are not kept on the site www.hintjoaillerie.com, but rather on the secure site of our bank.

How do I make a bank transfer?

Order by email at contact@hintjoaillerie.com. You will need to make the bank transfer with the information that is provided. For more security, your order will be validated only when your bank transfer has been made, and we will notify you upon receipt of payment.

Delivery

Important delivery information:

Your order will be delivered to the address as indicated on the order form. You will need to provide a correct delivery address, as we will be unable to redirect an order during the delivery process. All parcels that are returned to us will be re-sent at your expense.

How much does shipping cost?

We are pleased to offer you free delivery in France (including overseas French departments and territories), and within the European Union. If you require delivery to another country, please don’t hesitate to contact us by email at contact@hintjoaillerie.com. We will send you your piece of jewellery wherever you want it.

How much does it cost to delivery outside France?

If you live in the European Union (including overseas French departments and territories), simply fill in your country in the delivery address, and delivery is free!
If you live outside Europe, please write to us at contact@hintjoaillerie.com, and we will prepare a quote for the delivery and a protocol for customs formalities.

Will my piece of jewellery be able to arrive sooner?

The manufacturing times unfortunately cannot be shortened, and delivery will be made within a period of 3 to 4 weeks after the order.
Nevertheless, in France express delivery is possible on request. We charge for this and it costs 25 euros. Please don’t hesitate to contact us by e-mail at contact@hintjoaillerie.com.

Is it possible to pick up my piece of jewellery at the showroom once it’s ready to be delivered?

Yes, picking up your order is possible at our Parisian showroom. To organise this, please write to us at contact@hintjoaillerie.com.
For security reasons, your order will only be available by appointment. Our customer service will contact you once the manufacture of your piece of jewellery has been finished, in order to set up an appointment.
Returns, exchanges, size alterations and repairs of your jewellery will, for security reasons, be the subject to a deposit at the showroom.)

Is it possible to have my jewellery delivered by courier?

Yes, but only in Paris. Please don’t hesitate to contact us at contact@hintjoaillerie.com, and we will provide a quote.

Where is my order?

Custom pieces are delivered within 3 to 4 weeks.
You will be kept informed of the progress of their manufacture, as well as the delivery date, via e-mail.
Upon shipment of your order, we will send you a confirmation email with your tracking details. Please be sure to check your junk mail folder.

Is it possible to ship my package to a post box?

No, we do not deliver to post boxes. Post box addresses are only permitted for billing purposes, but orders must be shipped to a standard address.

Returns

Can I return or exchange my personalised item?

In accordance with the provisions of Article L121-21-8 of the Consumer Code, products made to special orders (made to measure) cannot be exchanged or refunded.
However, if an item of this type is defective, please contact our customer service by e-mail at contact@hintjoaillerie.com.

What if I ordered the wrong size?

We can change the size of all our necklaces and bracelets on request by email to contact@hintjoaillerie.com before making your purchase.
For requests for resizing after your purchase, we ask you to send your request to our Customer Service within a period of one month from the date of your purchase, so that resizing is free of charge. Beyond this period, resizing will be charged for. Please note that transportation costs for returned products will be your responsibility.
To obtain a quote and the procedure for returning your product to our After-Sales Service, please contact us by e-mail at contact@hintjoaillerie.com.

Recommendations for calculating your size.
Necklaces or bracelet, place the piece of jewellery completely flat, in a straight line, and measure the total length of the thread or chain from one end to the other.

Guarantee / Repairs

Every piece of jewellery is guaranteed for life.
If anything happens to your jewellery, just send us an email to the following address: contact@hintjoaillerie.com and we will repair it.
Upon receipt of your jewellery, we have it checked by our workshops to find out the source of the problem. If it’s an error on our part, the hidden fault and defect insurance is applicable, we will repair it at our own expense, and will return the jewellery to you either after having completely rebuilt it, or after having repaired it.
If the problem is a lack of maintenance or negligence on the part of the customer, we can repair the jewellery, or rebuild, it but the insurance no longer applies and the repair will be billed to the customer after the acceptance of our quote.
In all cases, your jewellery must be returned at your own expense, and will be returned to you free of charge within 2 to 4 weeks from the date of receipt.

What if I ordered the wrong size?

Recommendations for calculating your size:
For a necklace or bracelet, place the product completely flat in a straight line and measure the total length of the thread or the chain from one end to the other. Our necklaces are 40 cm long, and have an additional fastening ring at 39 cm. Our bracelets are 16.5 cm, with an additional fastening ring at 15.5 cm. It’s totally possible to adapt your jewellery to your measurements. To do this, please contact us by e-mail at contact@hintjoaillerie.com within two days of your order.

What if I ordered the wrong size?

We can change the size of all our necklaces and bracelets on request by phone or email to contact@hintjoaillerie.com before making your purchase.
For requests for resizing after your purchase, we ask you to send your request to our Customer Service within a period of one month from the date of your purchase, so that resizing is free of charge. Beyond this period, resizing will be charged for. Please note that transportation costs for returned products will be your responsibility.

Can you repair or resize a piece of jewellery that was not purchased from us?

No.

New cord

What if I want to change the cord of my bracelet?

At any time, you can change the colour of your bracelet’s cord. To do this, please contact us by e-mail at contact@hintjoaillerie.com.
Changing the cord will cost 20 euros if it’s done by us. If you just want is to send toy a new cord, this service is free of charge.

Showroom

Do you have a shop or showroom?

We don’t have a shop as such, but we do have a showroom which can be visited by appointment.
You can admire our jewellery, try on models, and it’s perfectly possible to place an order.
Your jewellery will then be tailor-made for you at our workshops, and it won’t be possible to leave with it immediately.

A selection of unique pieces or limited editions will be available for immediate purchase at a few selected shops.

Maintenance advice

How to take care of my jewellery?

All our jewellery is like a second skin and doesn’t ever have to be off. They have been specially designed to withstand everyday use, and you can wear them all in water, even models with cords. The thread used is nylon, a material that provides very high durability.
However, we do not recommend contact with abrasive or chemical products that could damage your jewellery.
To clean your jewellery we recommend using warm soapy water and a soft brush allows you to eliminate any dust or residue that inevitably slips under the stones.
You can then use a soft cleaning cloth dry and wipe your jewellery.

Hint Joaillerie is a protected trademark registered at the INPI and www.hintjoaillerie.com is an equally protected domain name. No one is authorized to reproduce, exploit, broadcast or use for any purpose whatsoever, even partially, the elements of the site, except with the written consent of Hint Joaillerie.

Insurance

Our online store insures every purchase until the moment of delivery. Your parcel is insured up to the value of the jewellery.
It will be delivered to you by Colissimo or Chronopost totally confidentiality (with no visible mention of the brand or the product).

Gift cards

If it’s a gift, and the delivery time is too long for you, we can send you a gift certificate saying that a piece of jewellery is being created in our workshops. That allows you to have a little something to give on the special day.
